A Day To Remember For A Very Special Young Man

Today we celebrate a very special young man's birthday.  Mason Caston Leathers (2001 - 2010) would be 11 years old today.  "Happy Birthday Mason" from Leathers Turf Company (LTC)!  Today LTC has issued a new logo in honor of Mason, and will be featured atop this page soon (once I figure out how to do it).

I know I'm getting slightly off subject with this post but "what matters" as Mason would say.  It is only slightly off subject because Mason is the main reason LTC exists.  Mason was a very unselfish young man that made the same wish every birthday, "Family Live Forever".  Mason still lives through his family and is highly reflected through his sister, Macy Ann Leathers, born Jan. 17th 2012.

We would also like to take this time to give a special thanks to family, friends, and the community in Bowling Green, Ky that took the time to provide help and support during that extremely difficult time of Mason's passing.

Spring Time is Crucial for Weed Prevention

Do you want a weed free lawn?  Your weed management program must start in the spring to eliminate the chance of weed infestation.  Although the weeds can still be controlled after they've invaded your lawn, its not as cost effective as preventing them in the first place.  Using the right products at the right time will provide you with a dense, healthy, and weed free lawn.  Keep in mind there is an organic program (which I will likely discuss in a separate post) for those that don't like using synthetic chemicals in their lawns.

Construstion Overview continued

There was a bit of a hold up with the irrigation.  Before this project was ever started I tested the water pressure all over the property as well as getting all information needed from our local water utility company.  There are two streets adjacent to the property in which the main road is approximately 900 feet from the location of the green.  The other street runs along the same side of the property as the green.  My first thought and question to the water company was to install the new water meter nearest the green, on the side street.  They responded that that was out of the question and that the meter would need to be placed on the main road, 900 feet away.  If I
